a So Far artist service

Thousands of music artists use Seated to gain fan insights and sell more tickets. It allows for custom tour listings, a way to organically grow followers, and an opportunity to create additional revenue by offering physical merchandise, digital music, or charity donations.

Seated’s product offering is their touring widget that lists tour dates for music artists. This widget has a dashboard where artists can gain deeper insights into their fan base, as well as an opportunity to gain more followers.

My task was to create lo fidelity dashboard designs that provided more information on how to use the widget and how to understand the fan data that is collected.

I conducted two types of interviews. First, I conducted interviews with music artists and also employees at Seated and So Far, to get an understanding of who the competitors are and what the pain points in the existing platform and what are the obstacles to converting users to use Seated instead.

The second type of interview I conducted was usability testing interviews. For each iteration I ask a user a series of questions on how to navigate to different parts of the platform. This allowed me to understand what was easy to understand and what wasn’t.
